President Donald Trump had trouble bringing A list celebrities to his Inauguration because of the pressure liberals threw on the potential performers. Nobody wanted to risk their career except for Toby Keith, Jackie Evancho, and a few other bands. Now these singers have trouble performing at festivals because of the same issue. Liberals probably won’t stop until the President signs an order that bans them on interfering with celebrities’ talent. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
Organizers of the country music festival held in Naperville also face trouble doing their job, because someone uses their ties to force them kick Toy Keith from the lineup. Even some of the residents don’t like the idea that Keith could perform at the festival, claiming that his performance would be “too political.” It seems like Keith isn’t that good in singing after Inauguration day.
Keith had to face the breath of hate after his performance at the inauguration, and he was even forced to defend his decision to perform. But, the singer never did that. “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” said Keith.
Although Ribfest is scheduled on June 30, Naperville residents announce big protests. Some even dared to claim that Keith’s songs are inappropriate. .
“In the current political climate, it seemed overtly polarizing and political,” Naperville resident Amy Kakkuri said in the interview for Chicago Tribune.
But, Ribfest organizers won’t bend under the pressure, and supported Keith.
“Ribfest talent is negotiated and selected months in advance of the event,” they posted on Facebook. “At no time does the Exchange Club of Naperville make any political statement or endorsement. At no time are artists booked based on their political beliefs or actions.”
