Here’s a handful of politicians (who have served or are currently serving) that will not attend the GOP convention in July…
From Fox News:
Former President George W. Bush
Former President George H.W. Bush
2008 Republican presidential nominee and Arizona Sen. John McCain
2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney
2016 presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake
Sens. Kelly Ayotte, Lisa Murkowski, Mark Kirk, Ron Johnson, Jerry Moran, and Roy Blunt won’t be in attendance, either.
If George W. Bush isn’t attending because he’s still sour from Trump berating his brother Jeb, I guess I could understand.
If Dubya isn’t going because of public perception, that’s a problem. He’s been out of office for eight years and during that time Obama has managed to make Bush look like the greatest thing since sliced bread.
To everyone else who won’t attend because they disagree with Trump, shame on you.
All you’re doing is giving Democrats the ammunition they desperately need.
People will start to question why the GOP isn’t backing Trump, and that will make them want to side with Hillary.
Get it together!
