When President Trump took the stage in Phoenix, he was on a mission. A mission to bring down Arizona’s treasonous Republican senators.
Sure, Trump took plenty of swings at the “fake news” mainstream media, but his sights were also firmly set on Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake. VIDEO BELOW
Trump acknowledged that he’d been warned by party bigwigs not to go after McCain and Flake, so he didn’t call them out by name, but everyone knew exactly who he was talking about.
“They all said, ‘Mr. President, your speech was so good last night, please, please Mr. President, don’t mention any names.’ So I won’t. I won’t. One vote away — I will not mention any names. Very presidential, isn’t it?“
Trump was clearly referring to McCain’s shocking Senate vote that prevented Republicans from repealing Obamacare, despite the fact that McCain HIMSELF had campaigned on a platform of repealing Obamacare!
Trump was not done yet. Next, he went after Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, who has tried to make a career out of hating Trump, “Nobody wants me to talk about your other senator, who’s weak on borders, weak on crime. So I won’t talk about him.”
Technically, Trump did what was asked of him. He didn’t personally call out any fellow Republicans. But this is not the kind of president who’s just going to remain silent when folks like McCain and Flake are betraying not only the party, but their own voters. The Republican establishment better get used to it, or Trump’s going to end up bringing them all down.
