In the very politically charged world that we live now, Trey Gowdy is a ray of hope. Although the clip you are about to watch is two years old, but it is worth look back at for his very masterful takedown of a social justice “expert” Meet Deborah Ramirez from Northeastern University went up against Trey Gowdy in the House:
According to Politico, Gowdy questioned her during the House hearing on the claims that BLM was making. They think that police officers are biased against black Americans. Ramirez says that she was a former prosecutor but the difference between her and Trey Gowdy is that Trey Gowdy was prepared. Trey Gowdy hit her with a list of “340 police officers who were killed in the line of duty in South Carolina.”
“WHETHER YOU’RE KILLED BY A POLICE OFFICER OR YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR, YOU’RE EVERY BIT AS DEAD, AREN’T YOU?”
“I want to get to the point where we lament the death, the murder of a black female like Nell Lindsey (a South Carolina woman murdered by her estranged husband in 2002) just as much if it’s at the hand of an abusive husband, which it was, as we would if it would have been at the hands of a white cop,” he said. “So I hope that part of this 21st century police strategy conversation that we’re having includes getting people to cooperate with law enforcement so you can hold people to the exact same standard regardless of the race of the victim,” he said.
